Christian, husband, father, GRANDfather (now there’s a gasser!), dog owner… the most important out of the hats I try to wear. I haven’t and don’t always wear them well unfortunately.
My wife and I have been married 25 years as of February of this year. We love our church and church family. We have two grown sons, 27 and 22. Our oldest is also married and has a son who was just born last April- very cool right?
I have wants but my life is good and satisfying and I have everything I need. I am blessed to have a wife that is loving and forgiving, and that shares my passions and supports my follies (up to a point).
My hope, in regards to this blog, is that there are some people out there who will see that you don’t have to be in the greatest shape and have the newest and shiniest gear to improve your health and get outdoors. Make do with what you have, work on a budget, and upgrade when possible, but most importantly just GO and enjoy the wild creation.
Along the way, Cathy and I hope to share our experiences on and off the trail, and we would like to help husbands and wives enjoy activities together. Working and playing together in the outdoors has helped to strengthen our bond and make a great marriage even better. And it’s a LOT funner than counseling!
Get off the couch. Get on the trail!
